Vegas July 2013

Flamingo-  main area is nice. No high end shops but great dining options. Lobby elevator service is extremely slow. About 10 elevators and only 2 working. Hallways on floors are disgusting. New carpet is needed.  Go Delixe room with strip view is a great view but the room is just okay. Resort fee covers Internet but can't get a signal so I needed up using my phone as my hot spot. Friendly check in but very long wait. Limited parking close for self park.

My thoughts

I am always amazed at how people tend to worry about the other person more than they worry about themselves.  Instead of asking "Why did they get ____", ask "How can I get ____".  Chances are the outcome will be much better.

Travel

Just got back from Orlando.  Attended the Women's Foodservice Forum Leadership Conference.  What a great time.  Great speakers and bonded with some great leaders within our company. Thankful for my wonderful job, great connections and future opportunities.  Next trip, HAWAII!!

Daily Thanks

I started this at the beginning of the year in a notebook.  Kind of got away from it.  Let's try again.  Today I am thankful for my husband (most days I am also) but today he came to work early so I could leave.  I am sick and only got 2 hours of sleep last night.  It's really hard to find someone that wonderful that cares that much.  Yesterday he cleaned the bedroom.  Even moved things and swept the floors and talked to Michala for over an hour.  Yes this is for real.
